So many of the media types are so uninformed and uneducated on firearms that they make total hash of whatever "facts" may be provided them. The there are the semi-educated, like many of the anti-gun "experts" that get dredged up after such an event who only add to the confusion. I tend to support the outlook that the shooter STOLE the guns from his mom. I just wish we could eventually have a civil, informed conversation about these kinds of shootings, with data, and some good minds to consider what can be done realistically. I would hope the Feinsteins of the world ( and similar extremists) could be held back, promise no gun confiscation, no silly extreme ammo taxes so the middle ground could be explored carefully. I would like to hear ideas that might truly work to reduce these major killing events.
I could see we'd get bogged down even deciding what the facts are tho.
