What does FTF mean on a transaction?

FTF to me means "be careful" if you don't know the other party.

Your question it a great one.  Being an individual advanceced past middle age I do not readily understand these letters substituted for words or phrases.
 
FTF can have more than one meaning (as Pete said) and you can pick up on that one depending on the current subject if you know what it means in the beginning.  The others LOL, IMO, IMHO, and on and on, and the one I almost never figured out BTW.
 
By The Way, there should be a list for these for us old folks ;D

The first available text messaging was limited to a certain number of letters so people started abbreviating to save space. Unfortunately that has carried over to the present day. FWIW I don't like it either.

BTW, IMHO & FWIW, we probably gotta step up to the plate or get left behind. I was stumped by BIL for a while until, by context it became clear he meant Brother In Law. Certainly there must be an online dictionary?, but so far Im just rollin' with it.......

    A few years ago, I got a new cell phone, and for some unknown reason it accepts text messages.  At first, my family and friends started texting me, without my permission, and my phone was beeping several times a day.   After a day or two of this, I adopted a simple policy:  I never open, read or respond to text messages.   I don't give a rat's butt who they are from.
 
    I then started getting calls from these folks, saying "I sent you a text, but you never answered."  I told them that if they have something to tell me, they are going to have to call and leave a message, because I will not read a text, ever.   I consider texts messages to be rude, annoying and stuped.  About a week later, all of the text messages stopped.  Now I always get a call.  And, its only about important stuff, not spur of the moment silly stuff.

Funny thing, telephone used to mean a device to talk to people, now a 'phone' is about just about everything else than talking to people........... :-\

It has a pump shotgun app, but I have not tried to shoot doves with it. Need to pattern it first.

I also once hated the text message , hey I hated cell phones almost as much as fax machines. I really hate any device that becomes an eletronic leash . But huntng my sons and I text to stay quiet  ;) . Other than that forget it.
 now for some fun , back in the day when telephone ansewering machines werte the new thing. A guy we knew got one and refused to ansewer his phone. So one day a few of us got together and left a message about a hunt and party . We timmed it so the message ran out just as the time and place would have been given. Then none of us would ansewer our phones. Wonder if maybe we could do the same with a TM ?  ;D
