I've always been more of a practical gun owner.
I've hunted all my life, and to me a gun was always a tool and I've never owned what I consider a "safe queen" or an expensive firearm.
My first hunting rifle was a surplus rifle I used for years, from my early teens into adulthood, and I still have that first rifle, an old British Mk4 .303 Infield.
I've got a few .22's that I accumulated over the years that are all semi's, a traditional muzzleloader, four shotguns, two being pumps, and two single shots, and then my Handi rifles, which had grown over the last few years in different calibers, but I have since reduced them down to four. A 45-70, .243, .45 LC, and a 20 gauge Tracker 2.
Of those four Handi's that I use for hunting, are my 45-70 and .45 LC that I reload for, and my slug gun. I prefer, and get more satisfaction and use from those three guns than from any of my others, and not so much with the .243, and have to admit the others sit in my safe and may not be taken out but a few times a year just to be inspected, wiped down, and put back, but I don't see selling anything any time soon.
They aren't worth much, and nobody is going to get rich with my guns, but to me they are worth holding onto and passing down someday.
