Why a brake? Two reasons... First, it protects the crown. Second, I love the look. Would you be able to caliper your Super Light for me at the 18" mark???
I just put the caliper on my wife's 223 superlight and it was .670 at 18"

Bueno, senor Spanky! The 1" brake in my shop will look truely boss on that superlight shorty... I think that I will try those Superlight frames first, as I am matching a couple barrels for swap-fit at the same time. Good day all! For interest sake... the standard barrels are 0.740" at 18" and the heavy barrels are 0.840" at 18".
