Local stores tend to carry what ever is the flavor of the day and a few regular sellers. The 45-70 is gaining popularity ( for good reason ). Just shop around and find whom ever will order you a 30-30 for the best price. I can not imagine a H&R 30-30 being unavailable. Just thinking about that would give me nightmares.  :P

They still list the 30-30 barrel on their Barrel Accessory Program webpage.

The SB2-231 is still on their website, it's the first one listed when you click Firearms or Rifles.

From what I can tell H&R hasn't updated their site for about a year, maybe two.  You weren't sneaking in an early nip where you?  ;)
