combo price check
« on: November 29, 2012, 09:41:52 AM »
So I found an "as new in box" factory 3 barrel combo in 7-08, 20ga, and 22lr, and 2 boxes of 7-08 ammo. Nickel receiver and blued barrels. Says only the 7-08 has been shot to sight in.  He's asking $300....  deal or no deal??

Sounds fair to me, that's prolly one of the rare 3-barrel combos made, H&R only made a limited number of them, maybe in 2006 or 2007? IIRC.

um lets see 96.00 times 2 barrels, 55 for the shotgun barrel 80 for the frame 65 for the stock set and 30 to 50 each for the ammo? sounds like a 25% off sale to me. consider the 22 barrel to fit centerfire frame is no longer available they sell for more than new. yep, sounds like a deal.

You have to ask?  I would have bought it yesterday.  If you decide you don't want it post the seller's info here.  I guarantee you that somebody will buy it before you finish typing.  The way I figure it, just the cost of the two rifle barrels and the shotgun adds up to the $300 price.  The receiver ($100), stock set ($65), and two boxes of 7-08 ($40) ammo are free.

So how come, I can't find Handi's at prices like that?

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

Sounds like a great deal! I just paid $350 for a 44Mag/.223/12 gauge combo and it's not a nickle receiver. Buy it!
I have more guns than I need, but not as many as I want.
