Belgian man finds out his wife of 19 years was born a man Published November 27, 2012
FoxNews.com A Belgian man is battling the country’s court system to get his marriage annulled after finding out that his wife of 19 years was born a man.
Jan, identified only by his first name, told the Het Nieuwsblad newspaper that he discovered his Indonesian wife Monica underwent a sex change after he and his son heard rumors, according to the Telegraph.

"I brought her to Belgium. That was not easy. The Belgian courts had serious doubts about the authenticity of her birth and her identity papers, but eventually they accepted it anyway,” he said. “I thought she was an attractive woman, all woman. She had no male traits."

Jan, who is now undergoing psychiatric treatment, added that he decided not to have children with his wife because he had two in his previous marriage, and that Monica pretended to menstruate by using sanitary towels, according to the newspaper report cited by the Telegraph.
Belgian courts have so far refused to let the marriage be annulled.

So with all the important issues and challenges going on nowadays

This is what FOX news seems relevant enough to elevate and report on at a national news level.

Aside from all their other more important "NEWS" reporting shortcomings No wonder I tuned them out out years ago.

Fox is Truly a Joke when it comes to reporting "NEWS".

People, I've been to the "Gender bender" capitol of the world and it is Thailand. Their doctors do incredible work. But I'm sorry to say that if a man is a 20 something virgin, or isn't too savvy about the female anatomy, or just... well, uninformed, it can be quite easy to be fooled.

I had to rescue quite a few of my shippies from making an... (how do I put it?) uninformed decision. Ah, the many adventures of sailing the Seven Seas.

Don't take this the wrong way guys, but knowing your own anatomy doesn't hurt either.

My family was realistic about these things and knowing that (when I was younger) I was running the streets of Hollywood and West LA from time to time, they armed me with valuable knowledge of these kinds of things.

Poor guy. That's gotta be rough. But how do they say... "fore knowing is fore armed" ?

No matter how good the procedures are/were, there are always tell tale signs that give it away. But one has to know what to look for.

Nah the article states that he had children by a previous marriage.

Irrespective, he enjoyed the "benefits of marriage" for 19 years. If he's unhappy now, let him file for divorce and accept the ruling of the court. Kinda sounds like he'd wants an annulment because that would get him out of a settlement payout from a divorce decree.

Always, always buy the insurance. Lift up the carpet, look around for clues, is the deal too good to be true? Any visible or hidden body damage?

That is certainly one of the things to look at but many women have the GI Joe/ Kung Fu grip hands as well. My Aunt has the hands of a concrete finisher, but her gender has never been subject to scrutiny.
