12 gauge full bore slugs

just got my new mold yesterday, anybody ever had any luck with these in there slug guns

I shoot a full bore solid that casts at .731" using WW and weights 738gr. I load them over a fiberwad and a gas seal. Best powders so far are IMR SR4759 and IMR 4227. I use Fiocchi hulls and FED 209A primers. In my churched up Savage 210F I can get them into 1.5MOA pretty consistently to 100yds. Past that things begin to open up and wind becomes a big issue.

When are you going to stop casting them small game bullets and make some proper big game slugs? ::)   That 700 grain chunk of lead whizzing out the barrel of a 12ga USH ought to put a big hurt on any deer or pig you run across.   8)

These are cast at. 734 to. 7345 . People have been posting concern about diameter in h&r shotgun forum. They shoot great out of my h&r ush. If you can shoot oversize in a rifle or pistol whats the difference in a shotgun.

Where are the molds coming from and what do they cost. Also has anyone here tried to reload fletchettes? if so what do you use for wad and do you tie them together?

Accurate molds made it. You pick your own specs. and he makes them. A two cavity aluminum is 100 dollars

These bullets are cast from WW lead that is water dropped and then they are lubed.  The harder bullet & lube takes care of the leading issue with these slugs.  Also the shear weight of the slug and the pressure limits of a 12ga barrel will keep you from pushing them fast enough to lead up your barrel.  The leading issue with foster slugs in a rifled barrel is due to the very soft lead used in the fosters so they can bump up on a smoothbore and also to allow them to pass through a choke w/o incident.

Just got my ACCURATE mold is 20 gauge. 425 grains .629 diameter. Haven't loaded them yet but cast and lubed 90 today. They make great molds. I've got pics but can't get them to post. How cum there's no picture  from a file link on this site??? I have no trouble on other sites.
