Special run 22/10, what's it worth?
« on: February 11, 2004, 11:05:51 AM »
I grabbed this Ruger 22/10 at a garage sale for a ridiculously low price that I am embarrassed to mention. I am not sure if it has any collector value or whether i should just use it as a squirrel gun. ()If the former, I will probably sell it because I am not a serioous collector and my safe space is limited to guns I use.)

The 22/10 is blued in a Jacaranda (spelling) laminate stock. (Jacaranda is a strange but attrative mix of colors including a kind of cranberry red, with green and grey mixed in.) It has a Tasco 4x scope with Ruger logo caps on the adjustment towers. No obvious dings to speak of and the barrel looks to me to be unfired. Of couirse I have no box and no other info on date of production or provenance of the special run.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Oneb, how are you doing? If you were to sell it what would you want for it. I've got two rugers (1)P-89 d.c. 9mm semi-auto in matte black,and(2)M77 VT MARK II HEAVY BARREL TARGET GREY(.25-06). I wouldn,t mind adding another, and yours sounds neat to me.

That stock color was offered back in the 80's and I've seen it on only one 77 since then. I wouldn't sell it at all. You'll probably be surprised what it would bring in 20 years.
