Case for a 16" Win 94 trapper?
« on: February 11, 2004, 02:11:47 AM »
I have ordered my winchester 94 trapper in 44, and am looking for a case that would fit it...everthing is 6-8 inches too long and the cowboy ones are for 20-24 inch...tactical carbine ones are wide enough to put three of them in...
anyone know if somebody out there makes a rifle case or scabard for the trapper??

Yes there is. But unfortunely I can't find the magazine and article. But I'll keep looking. But this outfit out of Sedelia, Colorado makes them out material similar to saddle blankets or Indian blankets. That kind of designs. But the last big fire they had was near that area so I do not know if they are still there.

I hope I can find them. I'll post it when I do.

Yeeeaaaa!!!! Found it in GUNS Magazine [July 2002]. No web address back then. But I did a little surfing and here it is.

Since they make them I'm sure they can customize one to your liking.

Take a look at the stuff from Eagle Industries. I ended up with a case made for the AR 15 carbine which is quite short. It has all the extra pockets for magazines. A little bit of over kill, but the pockets can be used to carry other accessories. It is a synthetic, but a well made case.

Try Allen. I have three cases from them..a 36" for a ruger 10/22, a 38" for a guide gun, and a 40" for a 336. Should be able to find at local gun store, cost about $20.
