I'm getting ready to join ya'll, wished i'd have done it sooner. Growing up in charlotte N.C., we had very few deer and no coyotes until the early 90's, when the deer population jumped. The coyotes followed. Now we've got so many coyotes the county just authorized nightime hunting with nightvision or lights. I kinda ignored the yotes until they started showing up on deer cameras right behind my house. I have dogs, cats and chickens so I put up a 3/4 acre 6 ft chainlink all the way around me and felt pretty good about them not getting my critters. Worked fine for the critters that stay inside but I had 2 big tomcats that liked to lay in the driveway so they'd hop the fence. They made it a year or two doing that but one disappeared in aug. and spike, my 20+lb'er came up missing 2 weeks ago. Am awaiting my 2nd e-call now, and am going to commence "operation coyote" from the close of deer season until I run everyone of the *@%#" varmints away from my house. They are going to think i'm in every bush for several hundred yards around my house. I'LL be the one marking the bushes and when whatevers left of the pack(s) hears a dying whatever call they'll be thinking twice about running in. I can't really thin their numbers and I know that but I can make them more wary of coming near my house. If nothing else, they DO recognize territories. Wish me luck:-). J
