wgrs peep sight on remington 7600
« on: October 10, 2012, 12:44:05 PM »
Hello, have a williams wgrs peep on a remington 7600.  My front bead is centered in the middle of the ramp, but for me to hit the target, I have to have the peep or circle to the right of center.  I would think the peep would be centered in the middle of the base or slide; is this unusual; does it have something to do with eye dominance? Would be grateful for any information you could provide, Thank You, John

It seems you need to adjust the sight for windage correction. If you adjust a sight for windage it will be off center.

you may want to move the front sight in the opposet direction you want the bullet to go a little, that may help the rear sight to be more centered. eastbank.

It also depends on your eyes.  I have mild astigmatism and have the rear sights on my rifles about 1/16" left of center.  That is why the Army taught us that you sight in your own rifle, someone else can't do it for you since all of our eyes are a bit different.
