Marlin pre-64 trigger
« on: October 02, 2012, 04:42:36 PM »
Any experience with trying to lighten the trigger on a Marlin pre-64 trigger.  My dad's old 30-30 shoots real well.  The trigger has no creep, but must be 6-7 lbs.

Was hoping to lighten it up some.  So like I said, any experience in lightening the triggers?

Hey there long winters, wander on over to www.marlinowners.com, and go down to the gunsmithing section.  You will see threads on doing the trigger, should be just what you are looking for.   DP

I am not sure if there is any difference in the trigger from a pre-64 or a 2012.  But for specifics, if any, I noted the fact.

longwinters, some time back S&W went to a different process for the manufacture o hammers and triggers. They are no longer  forged.
