Sizing 357 Max
« on: September 26, 2012, 06:01:56 AM »
For those that reload 357 Max, with cases that have been fired in their own gun, do you full lenght size or do you only size that part of case that will hold bullet? I would be useing Lee carbide dies. I neck size with my Ruger Bisley 45LC (no case damage when fired) as 5 chambers are the same and one is smaller and I have that chamber marked so I don't put neck sized cases in it. Also, what about crimping in the H&R? I have a Lee factory crimper and it workes great on jacked and cast in my 357 Hiway Patrol.

I always full length size my Max brass. My Max likes a firm roll crimp.

Thanks, Dinny

I full length size mine as well. i experimented with only sizing enough to hold a bullet well, but did not see any difference in accuracy.

Same here FL resize.

Try neck sizing. Others have mentioned it before. Let us know how it works for you.
