For those recoil sensitive people out there
« on: September 23, 2012, 03:02:30 PM »
I think this is the answer, not quite done yet, but it is a 30 Carbine with a Break on it.  Wonder if it is possiable to have negative recoil with a rifle?  Larry

Nice job!  Why did you even bother putting a brake  ??? on a 30 Cal Carbine rifle? :-\

Does she have an extractor or ejector? Just curious.

Really cool Larry.  I have been getting good accuracy from my reloads in my WWII M1 Carbine.  Would be cool to have it in a handi.  8)

It's an ejector barrel, a stub into a .410.  It was a 300 Win Mag that had an intergrated Break on it.  Finished at 23 1/4 including the Break.  Bet this would shoot heavy subsonic bullets like crazy with the fast twist of a 300 Win Mag.  Larry

It might be too heavy a kicker for some, maybe you should work up a Trail Boss load for it? ::)

Nice looking rifle!

Yes, negative recoil is a possibility.  My partner has a Encore with a 45-70 barrel.  He got the Howitzer style brake on it.  When I shoot it if I am only contacting the rear of the trigger guard with my thumb and the trigger with my index finger, the gun will move forward about an inch.

Really nice Larry.  Where'd you find the barrel?  Knowing you, I knew it was an ejector ::)
