swiveling forearm?

ive got a laminate stock set i put on last night and when the forearm is on, i can swivel it back and forth a little. when i took it back off, i noticed that the recessed area around the barrel stud hole is round and not oval as my others are. That really doesnt bother me as as the fact that makes the forearem look really bad where it meets the reciever. anyone else have this issue and how is  it resolved?

what im actually refering to isnt the stud hole itself, but the base of the stud.

How does the gun shoot?

Cause if it shoots good, tough it out and look the other way. I don't mess with a good shooting gun. ::)

If its not already a great shooter, you could bed the lug to perfectly fit the stud.

The 30-30 I recently bought is that way as far as the hole but it wasn't loose and did't swivel. Having said that, the forend is being pillar/glass bedded to the barrel.
