Let's look now....you said you have about $150 for a good, accurate, dependable rifle...
I humbly suggest the Marlin 25N:
1. Good...for the price, they are good, American made rifles.
2. Accurate...Rare indeed is the Marlin that is not accurate.
2. Dependability...a proven bolt action.
Also the bolt may save you $$ over the auto in ammo costs!
I presume the savage 93 is about the same, but I don't own one.
Savages also have a reputation for good accuracy!
Unlike some older, used models, the Marlin and savage are already grooved ,if you may wish to mount a scope in the future.
If you can afford a bit more, spring for the CZ., but remember, only certain scope mounts work well.
On the other hand, the CZs have some terriffic "iron" sights!
