store-arm question
« on: August 21, 2012, 03:30:45 PM »
I am thinking about using a store-arm on my future 16" 357 build. But i dont see many people using the store arm. Is there any reason? Is it much bigger in your hands then the other "square" forarm? Does anyone have any side by side pictures of the store arm and the other standard forarm like the camo stock set?

Here's a pic of my .22mag sportster with the storearm, stock .357, and .410 slug gun with the storearm:

I took the storearm off the Sportster, just felt too "bulky" for a rimfire. I like it on the .410 because of the easy take-down screw and the way it carries with the front sling attachment. On the minus side, it seems "noisy" when scrubbed with underbrush and limbs and has lots of spaces to collect debris. I'll keep the original style on the .357, seems like a better fit IMHO....Scott B.

I like 'em.  They just feel right in my hand.
