I've taken RL7 up to the top ruger load of 52gr. with the 300 gr. HP and had no issues. Not even flattened primers. When standing though, it'd push me almost off my feet to the point I'd lose my balance and I'm not a small man at 6' tall 240 pounds. 50 gr. Shot the closest group with a C-C of .875" at 100 yards. 47 gr. was next with that bullet at just under 1", so I went with 47 gr. to keep my feet. I shot about a 120# buck broadside at about 50 yards and the bullet came out the back side bigger than my large fist. It vaporized 2 ribs going in, 3 vertebrae and 5 ribs coming out, not to mention it completely annhiliated almost 5"+ of both backstraps. And I know I should have shot lower, but his body was disappearing into a wooded lot and it was do or die. hehe. The 350 gr. FP doesn't do nearly so much overkill and if I wanted to use it on larger game like elk or moose or bear, it'd hold together better than the HP.
