non resident hog hunting questions
« on: July 09, 2012, 06:01:22 AM »
I got an invite to hunt hogs in Georgia and I have a few questions.
What do I need to be legal to hunt hogs? Can you hunt them at night with a light attatched to my scope of the rifle that I am hunting with? Can you bait them? I glad I got the chance to come down there to hunt but do not want to do it and find out that I did something illegally and have my trip go bad.
Thanks,
Chris Kiefner

You should be able to get all the info you are looking for by going to the Georgia DNR web site.

Feral hogs are a non-native invasive species and as such there are little restrictions on hunting them... for anyone!   ;D   Hi-ebber, and day always be a hi-ebber, C.Krazy gave you the best advice.

I seem to recall that Georgia does expect you to buy a license for them.

I think all I need is a hunting license but not a big game license. Sound right?
