Did you get flooded?

Wow! Some of the rain in the past few weeks has been astounding. Hopefully you didn't get flooded and that things are OK for you.

Sadly nope we didn't. I need a serious flood soon to refill my pond or I'm gonna lose a lot of fish. Only once since it was built has it been this low this early in the year. That year the fish were a year old or less so still small. I lost a large percentage of them but there were enough left to repopulate.

Now several years later with lots of big bream and bass in there if it drops as low as it did that year some big fish are gonna be left high and dry.

Hey, GB, want to drive a couple of trucks down here to get some of this water out of my yard!?!    I got plenty to spare, and more on the way!!   Been out to drain the pool twice, and expect to do it 3-4 more times before tomorrow morning.     

You know you are in trouble when you can conceivably gig frogs from your back porch.......

Drought here. Got 2 tenths in  first of the month, nothing since. Saw several ponds dried up today. Heat wave on the way starting Thurs with temps  at 102+ for a week with no rain in site. POWDERMAN.

Hey Tim does that mean your pond is filling back up? It was pretty low when I was there. Dale

Some parts of FL have gotten 24" or more of rain and a lot of the state has gotten 15" to 18" according to the weather reports. Debby dropped a lot of rain but she didn't spread it around. Nobody needs 2' of rain in such a short time.

All I'd need is about 5" or 6" and my pond would refill from runoff and likely stay full on into July. I'm not real sure what it would look like around here if that much rain fell that fast. Matt likely would have water running in up at his house. I think our house would do OK but the blueberry orchard would likely be part of my pond and my driveway would be kinda deep in water.

the pond went down another 2 feet after you left
but last week it was up a foot over when you saw it


i haven't been out there since this last rain
the  KOI fish are  up to a foot long now
