Colt/Sauer
« on: June 14, 2012, 02:54:04 PM »
What are some of the better outlets in which to advertise a Colt/Sauer Drilling for sale? I've placed local ads online, to no avail. No doubt the market for these guns is pretty narrow. The gun is like new, 12 gauge side x side barrels with a .243 caliber rifle barrel. It's elaborately engraved. No box. It's priced at $5,700.00 but am not certain if this is an accurate or fair price. The gun was part of a trade years ago. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.

I have bought guns on Gun Broker with satisfaction.  There is also auction arms, guns international and others.

There is a listing for a Colt Sauer for five thousand.

Hey Celburne

In my opinion the market for drillings is very soft.  The Colt Sauer for some reason carries a slight premium over the JP Sauer drillings which are basically he same.

How did you come up with the $5700 price?

Dougk, truth be told the gun belongs to a friend. All I know for certain is he got it as part of a trade several years ago. Not certain how the dollar figure was calculated. I'm just trying to help him find a buyer. He doesn't frequent online sites, so I offered to step in. With today's economy I'm not at all surprised the drilling market is soft.

Hey Cleburne

Best wishes to you and your friend on the sale of the Sauer Drilling.  The .243 makes it interesting.
