I walked away from it with minor injuries. It will be repaired or replaced. It might be totaled due to frame damage.

Gad to hear your okay and sad to hear your Fatboy aint so great!
Man I teach drivers Ed about 4-8 hours a day and I dont even feel safe out there driving my full size pick up truck.  In fact I wish I could afford to drive a F650 Pick Up Conversion.  The only consulation is at least they have to go through 8ft of pick up truck bed to get to the passenger compartment!

Wow, that sucks!  Man, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad that you're ok.  Can you describe what happened?  Was is some dumb high school kid texting, a mom yelling at her kids, or some other excuse? 
 
I hate to say it, but this is exactly the kind of reason why I won't buy another bike.  The wife and I had a chysler sebring convertible for a couple of years before the kids came and it was 80% as fun as a bike, but 100% safer than a bike.  Someday I'm going to replace it with a Jeep Wrangler.

It was a 30 year old woman in a minivan, with her husband and 10 year old daughter. I was instantly ejected from the bike and landed about 10 feet away. They tried to explain themselves and apologize. I told them  to shut up and save it for the police. So I do not exactly know how they did this, my thoughts are, a "high speed rolling stop"....

dang glad to hear your ok!  riding can be kind of dangerous! but lots of things that are really fun are kind of dangerous.just goes with the territory. but look on the bright side. now you have a excuse to build or buy a new bike! just stinks that it happened mid riding season tho. hope you come out well with the dingbats insurance company. do you think you will go back with a fatboy or maybe a different model?

I have since tried a Street Glide and a Road Glide. I would be happy with either. The Road Glide provides the quietest ride. This time I want a Harley with a sound system. That is if the Fatboy is beyond repair.

isnt the street glide just basically a electra glide standard? my bike is a 98 standard. ive never been so satisfied with the way a bike rides and handles as i am my standard.i like the looks of the road glide too but ive heard that since the fairing sits farther forward the wind, rain, bugs etc will go over the top of the fairing and then swirl down and hit yu right in the face.idk just what i heard. with my standard, if you put a one of those snap on nylon  sheets on the crash bar it will allow the engine heat to drift up around yu.very nice on cold days.jeez now im sounding like a big sissy lol! i guess riding a shovel chopper for too many years makes yu appreciate comfort?

 SO glad to hear you are not seriously hurt!!  NOTHING, I see on the road today suprises me...With todays liberal mentality combined with "political correctness" it ain't gonna get better....

The guys are right, bikes can be replaced. Hope you heal quickly!

I don't like this thread, but I'm going to view this crash as good news - that it, a bullet dodged, as it could have been worse. 'Course, it could have been better, too (and usually is).

I am back on the road with the damaged Fatboy. My injuries have mostly healed. The frame was not damaged so it will be repaired. New parts are on the way and the cost is $3100 including labor. I have fabricated temporary red and amber  lenses and have attached them with sheet metal screws and duct tape, this is not the way I normally do things and it bothers me. Yup, thats a tail light lens from a snowmobile....

Cheesehead, when I was 17 I put one thru a barbed wire fence. Laid one down at about 50 when I was 20, and I even got rear ended by another bike. Still, I had to have just one more at age 62 1/2. We really never learn. Keep ridin. ;)
