I think all the barrels are stainless it is the receivers that are plated except the 45-70 model. I am asking the question cause knowing they no longer make ejectors is one breaks and you send it back how is it taken care of. I take they still have the ejector parts

The SS 30-06 was discontinued in 2009, it's missing from the 2009 catalog, anything made late will be an extractor which they started offering in 2004-2007, they may have had some ejector accessory barrels that would be an exception tho, they had ejector 223 Superlight acc barrels available well after factory rifle were all extractors. Any defective barrel requiring replacement will be subject to what they have available at the time, if you send in an ejector barrel this late in the game, don't expect to get an ejector back, they don't convert them, you'll get an extractor back most likely. But they may have ejector parts for repairs, the best way to find out is ask Brian, Numrich does carry other rifle ejectors, just not for the 30-06 family. ;)

The only all stainless H&Rs have been the 45-70 and 444 Marlin Ultra Hunters, all other SS rifles have matte nickel frames and SS barrels.
