Fed-Ex at it again
« on: June 05, 2012, 10:48:59 AM »
Many of you know I found a another Handi 25-06, with ejectors in Texas.  I paid for the gun, and the seller sent it Fed-Ex.  it went to Dallas, then on to Arkansas.  There it was deemed improper shipment and returned to sender.  I hate dealing with Fed-Ex.  Shipper said he will UPS it this time.  I told him the best way is USPS, plus USPS is cheaper than the other two.

Someday maybe it will get here.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Was it sent to your FFL? Why was it deemed 'improper'?

Sourdough,
Let me know why it was deemed improper!
I have a cousin that is a regional manager for  FedEX and I will run it past him to see what his reply is! He does not put up with any " Bovine Scat" procedures.

Fed X is the worst possible.  They've fail to make an attempt delivering packages several times, I end up having to make a 40 mile round trip to the main hub to get stuff that was supposed to be delivered to my door.   They always claim nobody was home even though I had not left here at all.

More than likely.  But after several complaints they did nothing about it so I can only believe they just don't give a hoot!

I'd sure escalate that!, they are being paid specifically for delivery service, thus its a violation of contract, etc.
Why bother? Just BECAUSE  >:( .

after 2 screw ups with Fed-ex , being retired, I called Fed-up (nope, not a misprint) and told them that their driver would find me sitting on the stoop with my coffee and "stuff" and I would wait all day if'n I had too. >:( Driver gets there at about the expected time and I'm sitting on the stoop lightly oiling the metal on my SKS with 30 round mag. As he starts to walk to the door he sees the rifle and stops. :o then he slooowwly starts walking to me. gets there and I sign for the item and he asks me "why you cleaning the  rifle?" . I told him that I wanted to make sure that it would fire If'n I needed it to cause I didn't want him going back and telling his super that I wasn't home.  ;D Never heard any more about it and I won't use Fed-Up again. would've loved to hear what he told his Super.  God Bless to all.
