Tim, like my original post on this, if you feel it should be somewhere else feel free to move it.
Pete is the latest of several members who have asked me for an update on Kathie. So I feel I should let everyone know. She is doing great! So well in fact that I think the reason I was afraid to post anything was for fear of jinxing her recovery.
Last year was a real mess, I can't even remember what I said or asked Ben to relay to everyone. But it started with a chance discovery of Kathie's cervical cancer, which prompted the doctors to look around. A DNC revealed stage 3 uterine cancer. Then when they operated to remove all that they discovered she also had ovarian cancer.
But, like I said, all of that was removed and the surrounding tissue and lymph nodes were clear.
She had to undergo months of radiation and chemo which made her so sick it would make you cry.
But that is done and she is still cancer free. And they have just changed her exam schedule from every 2 months to every 3 months.
But naturally I live in fear that it will come back. Especially since she had breast cancer 12 years ago.
I do want to thank everyone for all their support, concern and especially for their prayers. After talking to several members of the forum who have gone through or have gone through the same terrible time, I know that we are not alone and I am indeed fortunate; I still have my dear wife.
