When I was a kid we'd all scream for ice cream or reach for a peach, but I don't recall ever rioting over spaghetti.
The irony is that sauce bolognese is a luxurious food, being prepared with both meat and cream. Somebody was trying to do them a favor by giving them the good stuff.
If you haven't tried sauce bolognese, here's a quick way to do it. Making it from scratch is better, but this is good too:
1) Get a small jar of original Ragu spaghetti sauce
2) Fry up a pound of hamburger into crumbles, add some chopped garlic, bay leaf and chopped onion if you've got them.
3) Drain the grease from the hamburger and pour the Ragu into the hamburger
4) Pour in about a half a cup of heavy cream and stir it into the sauce to blend it all. Take the pan off the heat.
Eat it with your favorite pasta. Linguini or angel hair is good.
