Has anyone ever modified a 1903a3 Springfield rear sight  to use on a Handi? It looks like it could be made to work . Should be a rugged aperture sight with easy adjustment. It would involve a custom base to fit the dovetail base but that should not be a problem, just require a little mill time.

I haven't used the Springfield, but I did use an M-1 carbine rear for a stubbed .32-20. Worked very well
