New ball mold from armorer77

Well Ed, I couldn't resist, heated up the mold melted a bunch of lead and poured three balls.


That is six ounces short of twelve pounds of lead. A quick estimate will put zinc balls at just about 2.25 pounds.

    Ivar,   I bet if you posted a couple pics of the topic of your post, the new mold, itself, that you would get a few questions that would be fun to answer.  How about it?  One for the inside and one for the outside?  What size ball does this mold cast?

Silly me, here they are.






It is cut to 2.625", or beer can size. Haven't fired one yet, but it should be a good "Boom"

Be careful shooting cast lead that size.  Reduce your load substantially and work up. You can break things if you don't...

The intent is to use it for zinc, 2.25 lbs vice 3.9 in lead.
