Uh-oh! I just received a Remington "take-off" stock that I purchased on e-Bay. It is from a 700 ADL, and is marked "Long Action Standard". Will this work for my 15-year-old 7mm Remington Magnum barreled action? If so, can it just be dropped in, or will it require the removal of some of the stock material?

Thank you,

There was a time when remington made a magnum barrel contour.  Other than that I don't believe there will be a problem, assuming of course that the 7mm Mag is an ADL also..  Give it a trial fit..  Most factory stocks are close enough to just drop in..
