Customer service questions

Ok, after trying some new handloads and as many different factory(brands) loads I could find my 35 whelen still occasionally fails to fire. I decided to contact h&r to get it repaired. It took me 3 days of listening to that horrible music before someone finally answered. Anyway I told him the problem and he said I would recieve 2 emails-shipping label and the service request or whatever they call it, Its been 2 days(goin on 3) and all I have recieved is the shipping label email. Is this normal?? Made 3 different calls today and 30 minutes of elevator music yielded no one answering.

The worst part of calling customer service is having to wait forever and listening to the elevator music. It seems like they don't have anyone answering the phones.
It also sucks that most of the time they give you the wrong information.
I haven't given up on H&R's but I don't have much faith in them either... too many flies in the ointment. ::)
 
On the plus side... I bought a mint Ruger 96/44 today, I've got 100 rounds of ammo and I've got the day off from work tomorrow. ;D  If the weather holds out it should be a great day. ;)

I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE!!!
 
Its damn shamefull what they are doing with CS at H&R.  As Spanky said, I have not given up on H&R, but have ZERO FAITH in CS....

I finally got a person on the phone today at 3. I gave the serial number of gun and he pulled it up on the computer and said he would send the service request email. Well its been two hours and still no email. It takes one click of the mouse while he was looking at the screen....... Not a happy customer right now.

I called again today and talked to a woman who was great! Took her time and researched why I didnt get the email and stayed on the phone with me til the email came in to my inbox. She said she would move the gun to high priority. I dont know if "high priority" even exists but at least she knew the meaning of customer service.

I didnt wanna bother brian, I just kept calling and calling. Gun will be dropped off at u.p.s. location tomorrow. The cs agent I talked to was very helpful and polite, she knew how to ask more than "whats the serial # of the gun?"
