I saw a couple FRAMES!!

eBay dont know, they rely on people to raise the flags. I would not put it past BATF to be "fishing".... I would steer clear... I doubt there are many IF ANY one on here who could not legally buy one. Why jeopardize that ability?

Did you also see the $$ of barrels??? OMG!

Thanks, Dinny

There are no active members in the GBO membership by that name, there's one that it could be, but he's from Iowa, the others haven't been active for years.

It could be Paypal doing the fishing also.....  http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=271320933

PAYPAL WARNING!!!
Paypal is cracking down on gunbroker auctions. They are reviewing transaction details, looking up auction numbers and then freezing the accounts of users because of what they deem to be "security issues". I can not send, receive or withdraw the funds in my paypal account since they froze it. Paypal notified me via email stating that "Money in your PayPal account will be held for 180 days. After 180 days, we'll email you information on how to receive your funds." I strongly encourage anyone that is currently using Paypal not to do so, especially for Gunbroker auctions.

Here's their policy on firearms and parts, frame and receivers are not allowed.

Tim

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html

Actual firearms can't be listed on eBay. However, many parts and accessories for firearms are OK to sell, but only under certain conditions. See the list below for more details.

Allowed   •   Caliber conversion information or blueprints
•   Magazine holders, speed loaders, stripper clips, or moon clips
•   Manuals or instruction materials about firearms
•   Non-pneumatic spear guns

Restricted   •   Accessories and parts for guns such as butt plates, cases, cleaning supplies, dies, grips, holsters, molds, racks, pistol grips, scopes, slings, stocks, storage cases, or trigger guards. The listing must include a description of the type of firearm the accessory or part is for and what it's used for. If it doesn't, the listing may be removed.
•   Muzzle loader or black powder gun parts or accessories, as long as each item is offered in one listing at a time. (However, having separate listings for items that can be used to build a gun is prohibited.)
•   The following gun parts and accessories are allowed on the eBay US site only. The seller must be in the US and offer domestic shipping only:
o   En bloc clips
o   Barrels
o   Bolts
o   Choke tubes
o   Cylinders
o   Firing pins
o   Hammers
o   Magazines with a capacity to accept 10 rounds or less (high-capacity magazines that can accept more than 10 rounds are not allowed)
o   Slides
o   Trigger assemblies

Not allowed   •   Firearms regardless of their ability to fire, how old they are, or their status as collectibles
•   Firearm frames, including grip frames
•   Firearm kits that are used to create a firearm
•   Firearm receivers, including parts, upper or lower, cut, or 80 percent receivers
•   Flash suppressors
•   High-capacity magazines with a capacity to accept more than 10 rounds—or magazine extenders
•   Pneumatic spear guns
•   Powerheads, stick guns, or their equivalents because they work like firearms
•   Sears
•   Silencers
•   Starter pistols or blank guns, regardless of their markings
•   Zip guns

Yep that one can get you in trouble. That has to go through an FFl unless it is a ftf in the sellers and buyers state of residence.

That's a federal indictment waiting to happen for both the seller and the buyer .  Possibly a conspiracy to commit for the bidders if it is a sting.
If you read the Q&A the seller claims it's OK with his postmaster to ship a stock and trigger assembly. We know what that is and his bidders should know better too. I hope the auction gets cancelled. If trouble arises it will only lead to eBay halting parts sales again.

Not to be a tattle tell but I reported it when I saw it.  I would hate to see some one buy it and get busted not knowing.  Or worse a kid buy it.

I've seen where eBay loosened their policy a bit and don't want to see it get innocent people in trouble.  If he knows what he doing and trying to pull a fast one he deserves it.

It is still listed.
I know it was reported last night so lets see if they pull it or not.
If they don't, then it is most likely a sting operation.

Go further down in the listing and he says he is contacting Ebay to have this auction removed, after receiving numerous messages telling him this was a no-no.

I just got done talking to the seller and he did indeed cancel the sale. I think he just misunderstood what constitutes a firearm in the eyes of the law. He seemed very nice in our emails back and forth. I am sorry that he had to cancel the sale but like he stated, it's just not worth getting in trouble for.

Good to see that worked out well. I know a person who was stung and been in trouble over a single technicality (unwittingly) for many months now. That's why I was aware of the conspiracy bit.  Looks as though it could be dragged out for several years the way things are see-sawing. Even if nothing comes of it nobody should be subjected to the costs, worries, and family anguish if it can be avoided.
