New Rem M-700 "Classi" in 8mm Mauser
« on: January 19, 2004, 01:32:19 PM »
Remington has announced this year's limited edition "Classic" will be chambered for the 8mm Mauser. This  ctg is a personal favorite of mine and the price of a brand new Rem is actually compares very favorably with what it costs to "sportserize" a mil-surp in that caliber.

Does anyone have any experience with the limited edition "Classic" M-700's?

I have a 7x57 Model 700 classic that I've had for years. Never had a problem with it. It is a very good shooting and accurate rifle. The looks are a bit Plain-Jane, thats my only gripe

You eithe LOVE the 8mm or you don't.

I DO!!  I shoot my BCD 4 Mauser. 100 yds prone 2 1/2-3" groups iron sights. May have to work some overtime to get a Classic 8mm.
