Picked up a Colt King Cobra today.
« on: January 02, 2012, 08:36:13 AM »
I have been a Ruger and S&W revolver fan for way to many years now. I just picked up a Colt King Cobra 8 inch barrel in very good condition. Can anyone that owns the Colt King Cobra's give me some information on them as far as strength shooting full house 357 Mag load on a regular bases.

Thanks Lloyd. I have had many Colt single actions and 1911's,  but never any of their double action revolvers.

Congratulations on a fine gun!

They were built strong to handle the use and abuse that a Python couldn't. Not quite as slick, but an overall more dependable gun. I love the hammer and the way it feels when you cock it. It just feels . . . nice! You're gonna really enjoy it! And yes, shoot all the stout loads you want. No problems with mine and I've had it for over 15 years.

I just got one. This one has a 6 inch barrel.  I did have one years ago that was a 4 incher.  They are sweet.
