Looking for a replacement pad to put on my wife's Ruger M77 .280. We're leaning towards a Pachmayr Decelerator. Any feedback or other suggestions?

Quit leaning and buy the Pachmayr Decelerator. It is what I have on all my rifles. Kick-Eez is good too just prefer Decelerator's. Lawdog

Probably will go with the decelerator. Have to have the stock cut, so we'll have a pad installed at the same time. Thanks for the input Lawdog.

Can't go wrong with the Pachmyr D. Have two on my Swedes and they nestle great on the shoulder. The absorption is tops, too. Well worth any extra cost.

Limbsaver if they make it for it i think they do as long as it isnt a sythnic stock

You can't go wrong with the decelerator pad.

Look at a Kick Eze. Just put one on my Tikka T-3. Had to shape it to the stock, but it made a big difference. Its a new name in pads.

I just put a limb saver on my M-77 .338 and it REALLY tamed it down.

You won't go wrong with the Decelerator. Like I said it's the pad I have on all of my rifles and what Weatherby installs on their rifles at this point in time. Lawdog

We've settled on the decelerator. Just have to find a gunsmith close to us that will cut the stock down and install the pad. Thought about doing it myself, but have never shortened a stock, so I'll leave it to someone that has. Thanks for all of the input.

Remington just came out with a new pad that seems to work the best of all. I think it is called the R3. I have handled one and it is like none other I have ever seen.

That R3 remington pad is made by limbsaver. Thinking of ordering one for my 300 RUM and see how it does.

I have the R3 (limb saver) on my 7 Ultra and it works GREAT! I also own several PDs and they too work great. In fact, I have a PD on my .375 H&H and the felt recoil is reduced noticeably. You really can't go wrong with either brand.
