After climbing over mountains and crossing gushing rivers, high heat in the deserts and the cold artic blasts; I have found a recoil pad for my 7600. :grin:

Yep the .35 Whelen is now wearing a Limb Saver 10547 Slip-on recoil Pad in Medium size.  I haven't tried it yet but it will certainly tame the 250 grain bullets down at the shooting sessions.  Since it is currently -5 with winds to 45 mph...........you guys can wait for the range report :( .

If your interested: CIE Inc. GunAccessories.com is where I found it.  They have a lot of recoil pads there and you can print out full size drawings of the shape of the pad to check against your rifle.  Good idea!

A little cold up there, eh. Good site. It's in my favorites now. It will be interesting to read about that recoil pad and how it reduces recoil and handles in the field.
