I own three A5 Brownings love them - never had a BAR, nor have I shot one!  I do own a Rem 7400
It's plenty accurate enough for the type of hunting/shooting I do.   I'm mainly a bolt gun guy and have been impressed with what the Rem can do,  especially in the reduction of the recoil. Makes shoot an '06 fun again after years of beating myself up with a bolt gun.  Getting 1-1.5" groups at 100 yards  is good enough for 95% of my hunting needs.   ;D

One of my beefs with either is the fact you need to clean them from the muzzle side.
Considering the Browing are twice the price I would expect them to shoot better, not that I have any complaints on my 742.
