An economic crash like the one of the 1920s is the only thing that will get the US off of the road to Socialism that we are on and give our children a chance at a future with freedom and possibility of economic success.

No doubt about it! Newt is a great speaker. He knows what the crowds want to hear and he gives it to them.Hard to find fault with his message. When he talked about needing those great numbers of patriots like the Boy's at Lexington, I thought of Ron Paul and having just a few dozen or so like him.

Perhaps Paul should try to recruit Newt as a speech writer. With Paul's integrity, allegiance to the Constitution  and Newt's style of inspirational messages he could pull off an upset. ;) "Just a thought"
the right/left yardstick is a French Revolution-born human measure. It reflects the political spectrum, which is determined by the people’s range of beliefs. Christians, however (and everyone, in fact), should make Truth their yardstick. This inerrant guide doesn’t compromise and build consensus, either; it’s not a politician. It dictates where reality lies. And in a civilization claiming 2+2=5, it’s with the “extremist” who insists it’s 4. For God’s realism so often is man’s radicalism.

Well Newt is right about one thing, the republican party is pretty much kicking the hell out of itself with their candidates beating each other up and putting each other down.  There is a whole bunch of things they could be pointing out the other party did instead.  Newt might be the last one standing just from staying clear of that and sticking to his main points.

So does the republican party actually hire people to give their party direction, or do they think of ways to lose conservative votes all by themselves?  They sure try hard to lose it seems.

I agree there shouldn't be personal mud slinging, but in the primaries the candidates should bring out the political negatives of the people they are running against and accentuate the positive side of themselves.(Example) So in So say's he is now against abortion, but voted for it when a Gov. How else are you going to try and garner votes for yourself? If they were all clones, then we could just put names in a hat and draw. Save the money for doing battle with the Democrats in the general election. I thunk Newt is just trying a different approach to get the votes. Plus! He has a lot of baggage, and knows if he casts a stone, it could come back to smack him. "JMPO"

The time for going after the other party, is in the general election.

It would be great to see him debate Obama. Newt knows his history and facts while Obama likes to set up a straw man and knock him down.

Newt could massacre obama in a debate.  If newt is still around for the primary, he'll get my vote.
