Remington R25
« on: October 24, 2011, 08:22:43 AM »
I have been contemplating on buying one of these guns in the .243 caliber and am asking for an opinion on the overall grade of this gun.

I have been looking at reviews in forums on this rifle, but a lot of the peoples opinions seem to be an assumption.

Note: I am not looking for a tactical gun, but a hunting rifle. This might help people figure out how to gear their advice.

Thanks in advance.

A very good friend has one in 308.

He got it last year and just set it up with a scope and all this year.

He has not hunted with it yet.

It is a very large, heavy and bulky rifle.

But it is very accurate and he is excited about hunting with it this year.

I have shot it several times from the bench. Too heavy to shoot offhand.

Very mild recoil and fun to shoot.

IMHO it would be to big a gun for 243.
