I've been accumulating .35 Rem reloading stuff, and finally decided to load a few round this evening. I first started with some 220gr hard cast semi wadcutters, which are similar to a Keith style bullet. My plan was to load over Varget for a pig load, but ran into seating issues with my Lee die. A few of the bullets would stick in the seater, so it looks as though I will have to get a wadcutter style seater stem for the Lee die.
I next switched over to 200gr Hornady round nose SPs, but ran into issues with them as well. I'm using new PMC brass, and almost all of the 8 cases I loaded showed signs of buckling at the case neck. The case mouths were beveled, but I did not bell them like I would straight wall cases.
Anyone else run into these types of issues with .35 Rem loads? Am I going to have to bell the cases, or am I doing something else wrong? Any suggestions? The brass is all new PMC brass, which has never been resized. I've typically never resized new brass, but its possible the necks are undersized. Any ideas?
