Tikka Whitetail Hunter question
« on: January 10, 2004, 11:02:10 AM »
Hello and thanks in advance.  Do the Whitetail Hunter's have a Monte Carlo style stock?  I have found a 7mm-08 on the net, but no one here in Oklahoma City has any left so I have been unable to check them out in person.

Sincerely,

Mine has a moderate Monte style.  I really like it.  I would love to have that rifle in that caliber.  Grab it!!

I have a Tikka Whitetail in 7mm-08 that I bought a couple of years ago. It has a wood stock with no checkpiece or "monte-carlo". Just a very basic stock with very UNimpressive wood.

With that said, I'll tell you that without a doubt this is the most accurate out-of-the-box- rifle that I've ever owned. Trigger is owner adjustable down to about 2lbs. My rifle easily shoots .75" groups with several heavy hunting loads. It will occasionally shoot .5" with hunting bullets. It shoots well enough that I decided to take it groundhog hunting just for laughs. With 140gr Nosler B-Tip bullets I was killing hogs out to 250 yards with no problem.

If you have the money, you may want to buy a Tikka T3. All of a Whitetail and more.
