Anyone here shoot a 280 and  how do you like it?
I enjoy collecting guns, swaping and staying up on all the newest models. I deer, quail, squirrel and rabbit hunt.

Yep, I've got a Remington 700 .280. It's probably my favorite gun! I also have a 7mm-08, I just a sucker for the .284 caliber!

I have a Ruger M77 MkII in .280 and love it.  Shoot really well(under 1" with my handloads) and recoils less than my 30-06.   Factory ammo can be a  pain to find though if you aren't into handloading.  Good round altogether that is basically between a 270 and 30-06 in performance(narrow gap there).

I've 3, well actually one was made for my daughter so it's hers...  The others are a Remington mountain rifle and a custom 280 Ackley on a pushfeed M70 action.  The last hasn't been worked with yet..and was really bought as a gunsmithing project.  It has a stock with cast on for a 'left' hand shooter.. this is backwards for a right handed shooter.  I bought the rifle to experiment with stock bending.  If it breaks I get to restock it!!  My daughter loves the 280 and has killed a bunch of deer with hers.  The Mountain rifle shoots fine but has never been hunted with.  I really bought it for a back up for Tiffany's rifle.  She's never used it.  The 280 is indeed between the 270 and 30-06.  Shoots a bit flatter than the '06 and has a heavier selection of bullets than a 270 for a bit more punch on the larger stuff.  Sort of a 7mmRemMag, lite, but not too light.
