That's a nice group, will it do it every time you take it out?  That's what's important to me...

Wareagleguy...

That is an impressive group for a factory (unmodified) rifle.  The question DM asked though is key...please tell us this is fairly common group size for your rifle after spending days working up a sweet handload.

She is a keeper and produces this kind of group every time if I do my part.  I posted another picture of another group with this rifle a year or so ago.  It was well under .25 @ 100 yards.  While I am not a big Remington fan I find this one a very nice and dependable rifle.  I did do one thing to the stock.  I removed the two contact point at the end of the forearm. Also, did my "shade tree bedding".  I find the two part epoxy that you can buy at the auto parts house makes a very hard bedding that works great and it's not hard to work with.  That is the only two things that have been done to the gun.

The round is Nosler brass, Federal Match printers, IMR 4064 with Berger 168 VLD.  I have killed a couple of deer with this round and it kills with authority.

Well Wareagleguy....you do indeed have a keeper.  8)

You could buy a lot of rifles to find one that shoots that well, even with a "bed job".  Lately the rifles Ive bought (mostly used) shoot closer to patterns than groups.  If I were you I'd take good care of that rifle.
