I really like the 24 inch Encore barrels with the open sights. I'd like to have a 24 inch 300 Winchester magnum with open sights. Is it possible to rechamber a 30-06 stainless steel barrel to 300 Winchester magnum or is it better to use an Encore 26 heavy barrel and add the sights. The recoil doesn't bother me at all so that is not an issue. Any advise or pass experience on this will be greatly appreciated.
