CCI Shotshell 44 Special ammo in Contender 44 mag?

Can the CCI Shotshell 44 Special ammo be used in a 14"Contender 44 mag barrel, no choke or break, without any problems?  Would not be concerned about spread as it would be used a very close range for snakes and that would be rare.
