Barrel Storage

I'm starting to get a accumulation of scoped pistol and rifle barrels for both Contender and Encore. Anyone got any storage ideas. Interested in field box and home storage solutions. Thanks ahead for your time.

I have two stored in scope box's in that pretty little velvet wrap leupold gives you then I put two small silica packs in with them. Both are heavily oiled with clean bores for storage in my safe. Obviosly no scope just target sights. My 2 cents.

1. Put rifle scopes in Warne QD rings and Warne Weaver style bases on the barrels. That way you'll only need a few scopes and the barrels are less bulky to store.
2. Put each barrel in a gun sock and stack them in a dry place.

Thanks for the input guys. Curtis, I must of missed that one in my forum search. Excellent ideas, except for Austin's. Just kidding. Appreciate your time.

Seriously get a good rust preventative soaked gun sock and store them out of the way somewhere where they wont be bothered and check and clean them as often as possible. It's best to stack them vertically in a dry place.
