Got my rifle back

I got my rifle back Wednesday from Handi. I sent my .45-70 synth to be fitted with a .30-30 and .50 cal muzzleloader barrels. Hopefully Sunday I can get to the range with them. It seems like my .30-30 has Microgroove rifling. It'll be interesting to see how it shoots my .309 cast handloads. I'll post a report as soon as I have one.

Good choice of acc. barrels and let us know how the range trip works out. 
 
Does  your 50 MZ barrel still use the orange 209 primer carriers?  If so you might want to consider the "banned site" breech plug as it is a great improvement to the 50 Huntsman.  BH209 powder is also another big step up for the Huntsman but I am shoving you post into the H&R muzzleloader forum so I will be quite now.

Yeah, it uses the orange carriers. What are banned site breech plugs?

I'm thinking of getting the same barrels for my sb2 rec. ( currently have a .270 barrel on it) , let us know how they work out.

GH1,

When did you send your Handi in for the barrels?  I'm thinking of sending mine in for a couple additional barrels and was wondering what the turn around time is currently.  Thanks.
