stainless glock?
« on: August 12, 2011, 06:38:08 PM »
A few days ago i was at a gunshop that had a glock 27 with a stainless slide on it.  It was all factory and new.  but i have never heard of or seen one before. i tried to browse online for it when i got home but turned up nothing.  Are these a custom order pistol?  do they come this way in the other models?

That's a new one on me.
I would think it would be all over Glocktalk.

i would think so too the slide had all the normal markings as any other glock but was stainless and so was the barrel.  idk seems like it doesnt exist as far as the internet is concerned.

What you most likely saw was a "hard chrome" finish over a factory Glock slide, or one made by Caspian Arms which is an after market slide. To my knowledge and research there is not such animal from Glock.

I was thinking the same thing dee.  it could just be a custom finish put on by a distributor. i will call the gunshop tomorrow and get the full info on the gun and share with all of you what i find out.  thanks so far for the replies.

I have found out that this is a custom finish called nickel boron that is being applied to the slide and barrel for Talo.  they have some info on their website but its not much.  here is the link for anyone interested.
