:cry: Well, I just got off the phone a short time ago with Beretta Customer Service. After about 600 rnds of factory ammo my Beretta AL 391 Urika is headed to the repair shop. Problem:The magazine cutoff engages all by itself. Not regularly or even often; just at inopertune times like doubles. The man on the phone, without hesitation said those dreaded words:"Send it to us so we can check it out." He went on to say there was a fix for that that just wasn't a new spring. I packed her up and will take her to the UPS Store tomorrow and say my Good Bye's for 4 weeks according to the Cust Svc Rep I spoke to. It's a sad, sad day. I just got it before Thanksgiving, early early Christmas present.

RWH24,

I know exactly what you are going through right now.  I sent my AL391 to the Beretta service as well due to jamming up at the most inconvenient time.  My situation started at the end of the year 2002, when I purchase it.  Since I only used it for a few rounds, I thought with a good cleaning will take care of the problem.  I was wrong!  The problems continued increasingly to the point of jamming up almost every time I fired it.
Now I am hoping to get my gun back all fixed up in the next few weeks.  I need to call the Beretta service to see how they are doings and if they found the problem.

Glad to hear the Browning Golds like I have are not the only jam-omatics out there.  Sorry about your luck though, and mine to.

I am glad my duty Sig does not have the same problems :eek:

Oh Well, Maybe an O/U would be my better NEXT choice (trade the 391)!!

Mr and Mr Higgins may get more friendly, even thou I'm not that away!  :lol:

The old Rem 870's I have shot for years may be what I SHUDA stayed wiff!

LJB::: Keep me posted on the progress on your 391, I'll do the same.

I receivewd a letter from Beretta service about one week ago and they said that they received my shotgun and they will have it shipped back in 3 weeks.  If my shotgun is under one year (it is...bearly) then don't need to call.  Guarantee will take care of that.  Probably by the end of Jan04 I should be getting back.  I miss it though.

I shoot a couple of AL 390s and love them. I have put thousands, and I mean thousands, of reloads through my skeet gun with no problems at all. I never shot a Remington that I could say that about. My guns, 2 12s and a 20, shoot 3" magnums and extra light target loads. I have had the kids shoot 7/8oz at 1150 fps in the 12 and 3/4oz at the same velosity in the 20. The performance of these guns has been remarkable. The 390s sold real cheap when the "improved" 391s came out. There are still some out there at a reasonable price. Shotgunner
