Virgin Valley Kevlar Stocks
« on: January 01, 2004, 04:53:04 PM »
I just got the catalog from Virgin Valley.

There Kevlar stocks look awesome.  Anyone own one?

The price is prohibitive at the moment but I'm rolling my change
and saving up.

I have the granite color on a SS Encore from VVCG and I like it very much.  It is expensive   though but I just had to have it.  They are made by Lone Wolf.

That's the same color I was looking into.  Does the quality justify the price?
Is it very scratch resistant?  I plan on hunting hard country with mine.
Multiple seasons (rifle , shotgun, ML) big game.

Thanks

It is very durable, the finish is somewhat textured.  If I was building another Encore and could afford the Kevlar stock, I would use it again.  It may not be as pretty as wood but I think it will wear better, longer.

I will say this, be prepared to wait.  My encore took about four :(  months and I was told the stock was some of the problem.  I ordered in May and it was ready in September.  It was worth the wait, I love the Rifle.  Hope this helps.

Ordered mine today.  Granite color , standard length.

You're right, I have a 4 month wait.

Did you get the sling studs installed?

Yes, I did have the studs installed.  Let me know what you think of the stock when you get it.

Will do.  I'll post a picture when it comes in May.

I also got the 209x50 Kevlar forend.  Selling the wood on ebay to help pay for it.
